Ursula 1000 is a longtime Fort Knox Five collaborator, both in the studio and in the DJ booth. After releasing six albums and taking his eclectic dance sound around the globe, we are proud to feature Ursula 1000’s first single on Fort Knox Recordings.
Smoke Machine features vocalist bcap whose lyrics and soul are fused with a futuristic electro groove. Ursula 1000’s original mix is a quirky, synth-laden house stomper that takes you on a sleazy, sinister beat trip where bcap spits out the lyrical while keeping it mystical. Label bosses Fort Knox Five do what they do best and funk this sucker up. The result is a breaky, g-house vibe complete with pitched up and down vocals and trap fills.
Qdup delivers a bombastic modern flip on old school breaks using electro toms, lasers and 808 booms. Completing the single is Whiskey Pickle’s RiCHARD.GEAR who tweaks Smoke Machine into a techy, dark-house Dirtybird monster.
